POS software
POS software that sells fast and records everything.
The StockỌja point of sale is built for the counter at rush hour. Find an item in two keystrokes or a scan, take any mix of cash, card and transfer, and hand over a receipt. The sale, the payment and the stock change are recorded in the same moment.
And when the network drops, the queue doesn’t stop: the till keeps selling offline and syncs every sale when the connection comes back.
At a glance
Scan or search
Type two letters of a name or scan a barcode. An exact barcode or SKU goes straight into the cart.
Payments as they really happen
Cash with change worked out, card on your own terminal, bank transfer, or a split across several.
Discounts and coupons
Discount a line or the whole order, apply a coupon code, and let automatic promotions run themselves.
Hold the queue moving
Park a sale for a customer who stepped away, serve the next one, then pick it back up.
Receipts and returns
Print an 80 mm receipt, look up any past sale, record returns and voids with a reason.
Keeps selling offline
No network? Sales are saved on the device and sync automatically, exactly once, when you are back online.
Stock and sales, instantly
Each sale reduces stock at that branch and lands in your sales figures. No end-of-day typing.
What a POS system should do for a shop
A point of sale is where money and stock meet. A good one makes selling quick, leaves no doubt about what was sold and how it was paid, and updates your records without anyone typing them up later. StockỌja is a POS and an inventory system in one, so the counter and the stockroom always agree.
How a sale works in StockỌja
- 1
Find the product
Scan the barcode or type part of the name. Each tile shows the price and how many are left at this branch.
- 2
Build the cart
Change quantities, discount a line or the whole order, add a coupon or attach the customer to the sale.
- 3
Take payment
Pick cash, card, transfer or other. Add a second payment to split. For cash, enter what you received and StockỌja shows the change.
- 4
Finish
Print or skip the receipt. The sale is in your sales history, the stock is reduced and the customer record is updated.
When the internet goes down, keep selling
Networks drop, data runs out and a generator switch-over can knock the router off. In StockỌja, none of that stops the till. If the connection is lost before or even during a sale, the sale is saved on the device instead, with a receipt, and the stock on the screen goes down as normal.
When the connection comes back, StockỌja syncs on its own, every 20 seconds or as soon as it notices you are online, and each sale reaches your records exactly once with its real time of sale. Nothing is typed in twice and nothing is lost if the page is closed or the phone restarts.
- Expenses, stock adjustments and returns can also be recorded offline and sync the same way.
- If two tills sold the last unit while offline, the second sale is flagged for you to check rather than pushing stock below zero.
- Coupons, held sales, voids and adding new customers still need a connection.
- 1
Open the POS online once
The device downloads your products, prices, stock and customers so it can sell without a connection.
- 2
Lose the connection
The status pill says Offline. Keep selling: cash, card on your terminal, transfer or a split.
- 3
Sale saved on this device
Each sale gets a receipt straight away and is kept safely on the device, even if the browser is closed.
- 4
Back online
Sales sync automatically and get their normal receipt numbers. The sync status shows what was sent and anything that needs a look.
Built for how customers pay
Many customers pay by bank transfer, some in cash and some by card on a terminal, and some combine them. StockỌja records each payment with its method and an optional reference, such as the transfer narration or the terminal slip number, so reconciling at the end of the day is a matter of comparing totals.
If you sell in Nigeria, the guide for Nigerian businesses covers how this fits cash, transfers and POS terminals day to day.
Control without slowing down the till
Give each staff member a role. Cashiers sell; managers can also discount, return and void; owners see everything. Sensitive actions such as voids are recorded in the activity log with who did them and why. More on teams and branches in retail management.
- Limit a cashier to one branch so they only see and sell its stock.
- Require a reason for voids and returns.
- Review any sale later: items, payments, returns and the activity on it.
Works on the devices you already have
The POS runs in the browser. On a laptop it shows products and cart side by side; on a phone the cart opens as a full-screen sheet with a pay bar at the bottom. That makes it suitable for a shop counter, a market stall or a pop-up event. Keyboard shortcuts speed things up on a desktop.
Questions
Does the POS work without internet?
Yes. If the connection drops, the till keeps selling: each sale is saved on the device with its own receipt, stock goes down on the screen, and everything syncs to StockỌja automatically when you are back online, exactly once. The device must have opened the POS online at least once so it has your products. More in keeping sales going when the internet goes down.
Do I need special hardware for the StockỌja POS?
No. It runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer you already have. A USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner that types into the search box works for scanning, and receipts are formatted for 80 mm thermal printers.
Is the StockỌja POS the same as a card terminal?
No. A card terminal from your bank or payment provider takes the card payment; StockỌja records the sale, the items, the payment method and the stock. Choose Card in StockỌja when the customer pays on your terminal. Our guide POS vs inventory management software explains the difference.
Can a customer pay part cash and part transfer?
Yes. Add more than one payment to a sale (cash, card, transfer or other) until the total is covered. StockỌja works out the change on the cash part.
What happens when a customer returns an item?
Open the sale from sales history and record a return for some or all of the items. The returned stock goes back into inventory and the sale shows as partly or fully refunded.
Can I stop cashiers from giving discounts or voiding sales?
Yes. Discounts, voids and returns are permissions you grant per role. A cashier can be limited to selling at one branch.
